Sister Chicks for Christ Hosts 24th Annual Ladies Night Out
Janet Roller
Sister Chicks for Christ of Rutherford County invites women of all ages and stages to its 24th Annual Ladies Night Out, a free event taking place at 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2026, at The Foundation at ICC. Sister Chicks for Christ began 24 years ago when Janet Fountain gathered eight women in her home for an evening of encouragement. What started as a small gathering has grown into a county-wide event, with Janet's daughters-in-law now carrying on the tradition by joining the organizing team. "Sister Chicks offers ladies a lighthearted night of music, message and encouragement," says event organizer Janet Roller. "Women from all across the county come together for a fun and faith-filled evening." This year's event will feature worship led by members of the 2nd Baptist worship team, followed by a message from Angela Donadio. A seasoned ministry leader, trusted Bible teacher and published author, Donadio is passionate about encouraging audiences to engage with God's Word, embrace His call and experience a life of Kingdom purpose. As a survivor of two near-death health crises, she shares her compelling testimony with authenticity and wisdom, offering practical insights rooted in timeless biblical truths. Roller explains that a decade ago, the committee felt called to radical faith by offering the event completely free of charge. "We can't thank local businesses enough for investing in women across Rutherford County," she says. "This evening would not be possible without their generous support." Doors open at 5:15pm, and the evening's program will run from 6-8pm. Individual donations will be accepted at the event. Follow Sister Chicks for Christ of Rutherford County on Facebook for event updates, promotions and information about future gatherings. Founded in 2003, Sister Chicks for Christ exists to encourage and give hope to women through Christ. As Isaiah 30:21 reminds us: "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'"
