Nearly 700 sixth graders from Rutherford and Polk counties visited Isothermal Community College on Friday, March 31 for the annual Isothermal Science & Technology Expo. The theme of this year's event was "Full STEAM Ahead."
The students enjoyed over 40 interactive exhibits created by Isothermal students and faculty, local high schoolers, and area business, industry, and agency representatives. The expo is part of the North Carolina Science Festival. Sponsors who helped make this day possible were North Carolina Science Festival, Duke Energy, The Glenn & Lucille Hampton Daniel Foundation, and Stanton Enterprise McDonalds.
