PrintSonya Renee Simpson, 59, of Mooresboro, NC died Monday, October 23, 2023.
Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Lamar Simpson and Carolyn Jessie Wiggins.
Sonya was a part of One on One Care of Shelby and also Rutherford Life Services of Spindale.
Survivors include her guardian, Faye Rice and husband Jerry; her one on one caregiver, Petra Gary; and her favorite extended family members, Sarah Caruso, Kathryn Pitts, Oscar Richard and Tiffany Pitts.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Rutherford Life Services, Spindale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutherford Life Services, 859 Thunder Rd., Spindale, NC 28160.
