On Saturday, May 11, ROC will lead our annual Broad River Spring Sweep. We will float and clean multiple sections of the river. We invite you to come lend a hand in keeping Rutherford County beautiful and clean with a fun day on the water.

We will meet at the various put-in locations by 10 am to shuttle vehicles. We aim to be on the water around 10:30. Expect at least 3 hours to complete each river section, and please bring a lunch/water. You should dress for possibly getting in the water at various points, so river shoes are recommended.

Please RSVP for this event so that we can coordinate volunteers and sections! Let us know your paddling experience and comfort level as well. No section we will clean has any major rapids, though some are trickier than others. If you have an extra kayak/canoe for this event, please let us know so that we can accommodate as many volunteers as possible. ROC will provide all trash bags and tools needed.
