Stan Burgess Morrison, 41, of Union Mills, passed away  Friday, June 14, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Rev. Donald and Catherine Walker Morrison. He was a farmer and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Renee Smith Morrison of the home; sons, Dylan Morrison and friend Dennis Bradley, Jimmy Hutchins, and Christopher Hutchins of the home; sisters Luanne Wellborn (Michael) and Lori Jones (Charlie Ruff) all of Rutherfordton; brother Don Morrison Jr. of Union Mills; three nieces, Crystal Holbert, Amy McFadden and Rachel Stevens; great niece Jayden Wingo; great nephew Ty Holbert.

Funeral services were held at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lee and Rev. Karl Kelly officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund in care of Renee Morrison, 110 Tobacco Road, Union Mills, NC 28167.
