Steve Brooks, age 63, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

Steve was born March 22, 1959, in Rutherford County to the late Bill Brooks and Betty Melton Brooks. He worked for Brooks Body Shop and Used Cars and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Left to cherish fond memories include daughters Shelly Roberts (Jamie) and Jill Van Dyke all of Forest City; five grandchildren, one great-grandson, sister Connie Bradley and brothers Gary Brooks, Ricky Brooks, Danny Brooks and Billy Brooks.

The funeral service was held September 10 Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Tim Whiteside officiating.

Memorial donations requested to Shelly Roberts, 132 Countrywood Dr., Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
