Sylvia Franklin Goins, 90, died Friday, December 29, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Dee and Sadie Franklin.

Sylvia was a member of The Burning Bush House of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Goins; sisters, Gladys Mise, Polly Loudy and Mary Ann Epley; and brothers, Glenn Franklin and Kenny Franklin.

She is survived by her sons, Don Goins and wife Donna of Shelby and Randy Goins of Fallston; daughters, Debbie Bailey and husband Michael of Lawndale, Deanie Waters and husband Jody of Mooresboro, and Pam Goins Hamrick and Tommy Terry of Shelby; sisters, Bernice Cline of Nebo and Norma Jean Klutz of Hickory; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 3 with Pastor Cynthia Skinner officiating.
