Terry A. Lyons, age 62, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015.

Born November 11, 1953 in London, England, he was a son of the late James and Shirley Lyons. Terry served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He retired as a Colonel after twenty years of service to his country. After his retirement, he worked in various carnivals as a ride operator. He attended Caroleen United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Myron Lyons.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lyons; three daughters, Jessica Lyons of Lynnwood, Washington, Becky Lyons of Houston, Texas and Janna Thompson of Mt. Vernon, Washington; two sons, Joshua Lyons of Spindale and Zack Lyons of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by a granddaughter.

No formal services are planned.
