Thomas Roger Rabb, Sr., age 71, of Forest City, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019.

Thomas was born February 26, 1948 in Rutherford County, to the late Jim Rabb and Mildred Whisnant Rabb. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. In addition, he continued his military career by working for the Civil Service as an aircraft welder at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Thomas also taught a welding class at Isothermal Community College. He was a member of Danieltown Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. He was a skilled carpenter and an outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Guffey, Hazel Abernathy, Diane Dunagan and two brothers, Charles and James Rabb.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty-two years, Beverly Humphries Rabb; son, Thomas Roger Rabb, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Forest City; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Military honors were rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
