Valeriano Saltares, 87, of Mooresboro, passed away on Sunday, November 6. A native of Ricon, Puerto Rico, son of the late Fernando and Adela Moreno Saltares. He was a United States Army Veteran

    In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Bobby Edwards; one daughter, Charlotte Edwards; one brother, Jimmy Saltares. He is survived by his wife of 12 wonderful years, Jessie Mae “Patty” Spencer Saltares; two daughters, Aida Leung-Avillas of Orlando, FL and Connie Cangiamica of Lithia Sprigns, FL; three sisters, Nieves of Puerto Rico, Julia Moreno of Puerto Pico and Emma Saltares; four nieces, Inex and Diane Saltares of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Rosine Alcada of Apopka, FL and Blanca of Puerto Rico; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and beloved friends, Max and Jeanette Bridge and Kevin and Pat Schrounce.
