Vera Mae Hines Ledbetter, age 91, of Forest City, NC, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012.

    Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.

     Vera was born on October 14, 1920 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Isom Piercy Hines and Ebber Kimball.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, James Ray Ledbetter; one son, Dorris Ray Ledbetter; three brothers, Allison Hines, Gifton Hines, Vernon Hines; two sisters, Montie Green and Edian McDaniel.

    Survivors include one daughter, Ada Jane Davis of Forest City; five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

    Memorial donations are suggested to the Ladies Adult Three Class, Hicks Grove Baptist Church, 508 Hicks Grove Church Road, Mooresboro, NC  28114 or to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
