Virginia Hudgins Hemphill, 95

Virginia Hudgins Hemphill, 95, of Forest City, NC, died Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Born in Spindale, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Hudgins and Ola Mae Cole Hudgins and widow of the late Jim Hemphill. Virginia worked for 25 years as office manager for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Forest City and later along-side her husband at their business, Vassey & Hemphill Jewelry in Spindale. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Forest City.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Simpson of Forest City, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one nephew, and son-in-law, Jim Clement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Clement and a brother Arthur Hudgins.

Funeral services were held February 3 in Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Dr. Diane Nelson officiating.
