Wilbur Hoyle Epley, age 76, of Shiloh, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. Wilbur was born September 13, 1935 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Joe Epley and Mamie Skipper Epley.  Wilbur served in the National Guard for many years.  

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Sadie Epley, Aden Epley, Lorene Hutchins, Pauline Randall and Winfred Harrill.

    Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Anne Lane Epley; one son, Eric Wilbur Epley and wife, Lisa of Columbus, NC; one daughter, Kimberly Lynn Epley of Spartanburg, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.

    Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC  28043.
