William Matthew Thomp-son, 36, of 107 Lail  Court passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jerry Hudson and Kevin Towery officiating.  Burial was held at Hudson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawndale.

Mr. Thompson was born in Cleveland County. He was a member of Hudson Memorial Baptist Church,  and a former employee of Cleveland Vocations and Harvest Works.

He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth Elmore Thompson and William Edgar Thompson; two sisters, Melissa Crump of Golden Valley and Roxana Smart of Polkville; grandfather, Bobby Elmore of Kings Mountain; uncles: Ronnie, Ronald, Carl, Fred and Gary; aunts, Doris, Janice, Ailene and Joanna; niece, April; nephew, Kevin and special friends, Tom and Jane Lail.
