Wilson L. Heatherly, Jr., age 73, of Rutherfordton

Wilson L. Heatherly, Jr., age 73, of Rutherfordton died Friday, October 23, 2026.

A native of Buncombe County, he was born July 6, 1953, to the late Rev. Wilson L. Heatherly, Sr. and Carrie Mae Kuykendall Heatherly.

Wilson is survived by his wife of 51 years, Warrleen Heatherly, two daughters, Anna Chapman and husband, Mark of Rutherfordton; Allison Boone and husband, Justin of Raleigh; three granddaughters, Hannah, Joanna, and Brianna Chapman, nine siblings and many nieces and nephews.

He owned and operated Heatherly Plumbing for 32 years and was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship.

The funeral was held October 28 in the Chapel of McMahan's Funeral Home with Rev. Max Parris officiating.
