William "Bill" Campbell, Sr., age 88

William "Bill" Campbell, Sr., age 88, of Forest City, passed away June 26, 2022.

Bill was born May 27, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late Daniel Howard Campbell and Myrtle Dora Lackey Campbell. He was employed by Stonecutter Mill-Spindale Plant for over 40 years and was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church in Ellenboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Martha Allred Campbell; sisters, Christine Vassey, Nola Belle Adair, Mildred Bradley, Pat Smith and Nina King; brothers, Luther Campbell, Ben Adams and Gerald Campbell.

Left to cherish fond memories are his daughter, Viki Brooks (Tim) of Bostic; sons, Phillip Campbell of Henrietta, Chris Campbell of Cliffside and William "Billy" Campbell, Jr. (Donna) of Shiloh; sisters, Sue Bostic of Bostic, Mittie Rumfelt (Jim) of Forest City and brother, Earl Campbell (Shirley) of Forest City, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held June 29 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul White officiating.
