Volunteers who assisted with the foster families and the kinship caregivers Christmas party held recently are shown above. Volunteers served 105 children who are in Department of Social Services custody. People in the community sponsored the foster children spending $150 to $170 on gifts for each child. The children come to the event and enjoy some Christmas activities, said Emily Wood, volunteer. Meanwhile their caregivers receive the gifts and volunteers wrap all of them. Once the gifts are in their car, they go pick up the children. This is made possible through the nonprofit group, Least of These Carolinas.
