840 individuals receive food

With masks and gloves, volunteers packed boxes for distribution to over 800 people.

The Second Harvest mobile food truck was at Main Street Baptist Church in Spindale on April 28. The food drive was sponsored by Chase Corner Ministries. During the food give-away, 840 individuals were served food representing 291 households. Dozens of volunteers followed COVID-19 safety rules as well as those receiving food.

Chase Corner Ministries, located off Chase High Road, also conducts food drives each Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chase location. For more information or to schedule other appointments for help call 828-247-0096.
