Aldon M. Conner Jr., age 72

Aldon M. Conner Jr., age 72, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019.

He was the son of the late Aldon M. Conner Sr. and the late Ruth Fincannon Conner and a native of Rutherford County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spindale. He was retired from Cone Mills where he was the director of production scheduling. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Aldon loved the game of golf and enjoyed playing with his friends. He loved going out of town on golf trips with his golfing buddies. He was also preceded in death by his brother Leslie Kevin Conner.

He is survived by One Sister: Rita D. Conner of Etowah, NC. Aldon had an honorary grandson; that he cherished very much and his mother who has been a caregiver to the Conner family for many years.

The Funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; P O Box 336; Forest City, NC 28043.
