Alma Lou Hardin Haynes age 94, of Rutherfordton

Alma Lou Hardin Haynes age 94, of Rutherfordton passed away and was reunited with her loved ones in heaven Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Alma was born March 9, 1932 in Rutherford County, to the late C.B. Hardin Sr. and the late Josie Lane Hardin. Alma was a lifelong member of Piney Knob Baptist Church.

One of Alam's talents was making pizza boxes at the GreenHill Store. Alma loved singing at the Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Haynes, her two children, Anita Haynes Taylor, and James Arthur Haynes, her grandson, Brandon Adam Taylor, and her five siblings, Viola Humphries, Roy Hardin, Garland Hardin, C.B. Hardin Jr., and Willie Hardin Boone.

Alma is survived by her sister, Virginia "Gin" Lawter, two grandsons, Scott J. Haynes, and John A. Haynes, four great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Debra Lynn Haynes, son-in-law, Jerry Spencer Taylor, and her special caregiver, Polly Edwards.

The funeral service was held April 30 at Piney Knob Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Piney Knob Baptist Church; 1534 Piney Knob Rd.; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
