Amanda Grant Waters, age 85

Amanda Grant Waters, age 85, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

Amanda was born October 18, 1927 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Joseph Grant and Fannie Wood Grant.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed embroidery and crocheting.  She attended the Village Chapel in Forest City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband of more than 40 years, D.C. Waters; two brothers, William Grant, James Hariston and one sister, Edna Crowder.

Survivors include one brother, Rex Hariston of Panama City, FL; her caretaker, Brenda Reynolds and husband, Jerry of Rutherfordton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jack Hansma officiating.  Interment followed in Eternal Hills Cemetery.
