Ann May Watson, age 85

Ann May Watson, age 85, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019.

She was a native of Queens, NY and the daughter to the late Joseph Batchelder and the late Elizabeth Graham Batchelder.

She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Rutherfordton and a devout Christian. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read and meet new people and was very generous. Ann also loved to collect anything with butterflies on it. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Joseph Batchelder Jr. and Richard Batchelder and two sisters; Shirley Whipperma and Frances Rung.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Lawrence Watson. Two Daughters: Mary Watson Light, Nancy Watson Wright. Two Sons: Joseph Lawrence Watson, Larry Watson. Two Sisters: Audrey Young, Mary Comesky. Seven Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Chapel
