Annual 4-H Fruit Sale underway

Rutherford County 4-H is hosting its annual fruit sale.

Proceeds from the fruit sale will benefit the Rutherford County 4-H Club and other Cooperative Extension programs. This year plants that will be offered include:blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, muscadines, asparagus, and other fruit trees by special order - for example, apple, fig, and nut trees.

Blueberry plants will be $10; muscadines, $10; blackberries, $8; raspberries $8; asparagus, $14; strawberries $9 for 25 plants.

Orders are due by March 10 and pre-payment is appreciated. Please pay with cash or check by mail to 193 Callahan Koon Rd., Suite 164, Spindale, NC 28160. Make checks payable to "Cooperative Extension."

Saturday, March 20 from 9 a.m.-noon

Monday, March 22 from 3-5 p.m.

Rutherford County 4-H 4-H is an educational program for both boys and girls, ages 5-18. Exciting club and events support the "learning by doing" concept of 4-H. The four Hs stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. Subject matter and life skills are learned by the 4-H'ers through projects and activities. Subjects range from animals to canning, electricity, photography, and more.
