14th Annual Kids & Cops!
14th Annual Kids & Cops!
   Once again, the biggest and best kids event in all of Rutherford County will take place. It happens tomorrow, June 24, beginning at 9 a.m. and goes on ‘til 12 noon at Forest City-Dunbar Park.

   There will be so much going on, so much to see, and so much free pizza and drinks too! Helicopters, Police Cars, Sheriff Cars, EMS Units, Fire Trucks to view inside and out. The Fire Department will have it’s “water spray in the sky” so bring or wear your bathing suits. You can enjoy the ever flowing waters from the big fire truck.

High School Football is Back?
   High school football is back! Okay, so not officially, but this Saturday, June 25th, three from Rutherford County will participate in the All-American Bowl.

   The bowl is a chance for kids to be scouted by college and professional football teams in the battle of the Stars vs. Stripes this weekend in Kings Mountain at John Gamble Stadium. Kids from as far north as West Virginia to as far south as Georgia will take part in the event.

   Rutherford Regional Medical Center was recently gifted with 17 baby quilts, handmade by the Rutherford Quilt Guild, for use in The Birth Place nursery.  Each quilt was accompanied by the children’s book which inspired the design.
