Barbara "Granny B" Spencer, age 77

Barbara "Granny B" Spencer, age 77, of Harris, NC passed away January 28, 2022.

Barbara was born August 12, 1944 in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Edwin Anderson and Naomi Anderson Oursler. She worked for J.H. Montgomery Industries for over 35 years and was of the Episcopalian Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Spencer; stepfather, Charles Oursler, Sr. and sister, Katherine Oursler.

Left to cherish fond memories are sons, Gary Tharp of Harris, Shawn Spencer (Martina) of Forest City and Shannon Spencer (Kathy) of Gilkey; brothers, Jerry Anderson and Larry Anderson, both of Good Thunder, MN, Danny Anderson of Mason City, Iowa, Charles Oursler of Chesnee, SC and sisters, Bonnie "Beaners" Linton and Betty Cramer both of Cloverly, Marylandand two grandchildren.

Memorial donations requested to Rutherford County Humane Society, PO Box 998, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.

A celebration of life will be conducted on a later date.
