Beacher Burl "BB" Short, age 99, of Ellenboro passed away Friday, January 9, 2021.
He was the son of the late Robert and Zulie Swink Short and a native of Rutherford County.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of more than fifty years Venar Williams Short, two sons Jimmy and Berlon Short, one daughter Janie Huffstickler, one grandson, one great grand daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
"BB" is survived by one daughter Judy Short Freeman, one son Tommy Short, nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren and his special companion for over twenty years Catherine Ivey.
The graveside service was held in the Campfield Memorial Baptist Church cemetery.
