Benjamin H. "Ben" Bridges, age 64

Benjamin H. "Ben" Bridges, age 64 of Forest City died Monday, June 27, 2022.

Ben was born March 22, 1958, and was a son of the late Reid and Elizabeth Waldrop Bridges.

Growing up in Rutherfordton, he was a graduate of Rutherfordton-Spindale High School. He also attended Appalachian State University.

Ben worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Smith's Drug Store Rutherfordton. He later worked for Medicine Box Pharmacy Forest City.

Ben was a member of Florence Baptist Church and the Virgil Webb/Men's Care Class. He truly enjoyed his Sunday School class and attended regularly until his health prevented him from doing so.

Ben was a quiet, humble, and kind person and he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Hick Bridges, son, Patrick Bridges and wife Sarah of Winston-Salem, his daughter, Kathryn Bridges of Forest City, brother, Alan Reid Bridges of Forest City, two grandchildren, Blythe Bridges and Hudson Bridges, and his beloved dog, Albert.

A memorial service was held June 30, 2022, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Rev. Tonya Garrison officiating.
