Bernice Elliott Whiteside age 81

Bernice Elliott Whiteside age 81 of Rutherfordton went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 11, 2013.

A native of McDowell County she was a homemaker and member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Rucker and Maude Murphy Elliott as well as her husband Hugh Whiteside.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Judy Whiteside Monday and husband Bedford, Sara Whiteside Roddy and husband Keith, Billy Whiteside and wife Michelle, Bobby Whiteside and wife Deana, Linda Whiteside Hamrick and husband Kevin, foster son Clayton Turner and wife Gay, sister Margie Davis, fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life was held at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Foshie officiating. 

Concluding services were held in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rutherford County Hospice P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043 or to Rock Springs Baptist Church P.O. Box 1207 Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
