Betty Curtis Brooks, age 93

Betty Curtis Brooks, age 93 of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020.

Betty was born on January 20, 1927 in Rutherford County and was one of eleven children born to the late Johnny Bruce and Dovie Lela Dixon Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fred Brooks in 2002, her second husband, G.C. Greene, her sisters, Mozelle Lynch and Irene Head, brothers, Albert Curtis, Clyde Curtis, Jim Curtis, Herbert Curtis, Charles Curtis, and Harlon Curtis.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda B. Wilson and husband Max of Ellenboro, Debbie Brooks Lee of Ellenboro, her brothers, Ray Curtis and wife Marlene of Forest City and Edgar Curtis and wife Barbara of Ellenboro. There are also four grandchildren, as well as three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held in the Campfield Memorial Baptist Church.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.
