Betty Dobbins Holtzclaw, age 86

Betty Dobbins Holtzclaw, age 86 of Ellenboro passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Betty was born on December 17, 1934 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Fletcher Lee Dobbins and Lanner Hawkins Dobbins.

She was the last of twelve children and was preceded in death by her siblings, Laura E. Tessnear, Ernest Dobbins, Jessie Lee Davis, Jack Dobbins, Margaret Earley, Anner Mae Morrow, John Dobbins, and Christine Wilkerson. Betty was the wife of Henry Holtzclaw for 55 years until his death in 2012. Survivors include her son, Chad Holtzclaw of Ellenboro, her daughters, Marsha H. Jolley and husband Tommy of Forest City, Beverly H. McGinnis and husband Danny of Ellenboro as well as her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A service from the graveside was held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Carolina Foothills, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
