Betty Huss Mote, age 85

Betty Huss Mote, age 85, of Union Mills, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

A native of Kings Mountain, NC, Betty was the daughter of the late Franklin "Love" Vance Huss Sr. and the late Addie Huss. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, and she worked at Colonial Manor rest home for 23 years.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Anderson Mote, Sr., siblings, Pauline, Vance, Margaret, and Ruth, daughter, Vera Mae Mote Prichard, and one grandchild, Eugene Pritchard.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Nancy Hill (Steve), Pattie Head (Gene), Barbara Craig (Michael), and Janet Rosey Hancock (Walter), her son, Edward Anderson Mote, Jr. (Tina), sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held at Camp Creek Baptist Church on June 2. The service was officiated by Rev. Tony McCraw, and Rev. Paul White.
