Betty Jo Smith, age 90

Betty Jo Smith, age 90 of Forest City died Monday, November 7, 2022.

Betty was born October 20, 1932, in Harris, NC and was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Eddie Ray Millwood. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marshal Hugh Smith in 2017 and her son Rodney Smith in 2007, her sisters Bobbie Millwood, Shirley Campbell and her brother Bill Millwood.

Survivors include daughter Teresa Smith Newton and husband Dennis of Apopka, FL, brother Donnie Millwood of Forest City, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held November 10 in The Padgett and King Chapel officiated by Rev. Kevin Rhom.
