Big Springs Baptist Church to Present ‘Smoke on the Mountain’

Big Springs Baptist Church will be presenting the musical play Smoke on the Mountain as a part of its 4th Annual Then and Now Days on October 13th.  Festivities begin at 1:00pm and presentations will be held at 3:00 and 7:00pm at Big Springs Baptist Church.

The name of the musical ‘Smoke on the Mountain’ comes from Psalm 104:32: “He who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke”.   

The play is set in rural North Carolina in 1938 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and consists of dialogue and almost 30 gospel music selections.  

Antique and modern vehicles will be on display as well as other items of interest.  An all you can eat fish fry is available from 4:00-7:00pm.
