Bill Conner, age 76

Bill Conner, age 76, of Cliffside, passed away September 1, 2021.

Bill was born August 1, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Rass Conner and Mildred Taylor Conner. He was a graduate of Tri-High School and earned an Associate's degree from Isothermal Community College. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Bill was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Linda Pearson Conner and brother, Steve Conner.

Those left to cherish his memory include children, Sherry Biggerstaff (Keith) of Forest City, Jeff Conner (Donna) of Six Points, Tracy Ray (Richard) of Oak Island, and Terrie Reid (Kevin) of Spindale; 2 sisters, Martha "Mott" Hutchins and Ruth Conner both of Caroleen, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held September 7, 2021 at Cliffside Cemetery with Rev. Ted Blankenship officiating.
