Billy Charles Edwards, "Charles" age 85

Billy Charles Edwards, "Charles" age 85 went home to be with The Lord Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Charles was born in Polk County, NC and is a son of the Late John M. and Nellie Jones Edwards. He served our country as a member of the United States Army and retired from Broyhill Furniture Company.

He is survived by his wife Hattie Brown Edwards; one daughter, Lisa Guffey; two sons, Timothy Edwards and wife Alicia, Joe Edwards and wife Jamie; one sister, Jean Guffey and husband Ron; three brothers, John Edwards and wife Opal, Kenneth Edwards and wife Mildred, Terry Edwards and wife Donna; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rick Guffey and one great grandchild.

A funeral was held December 22 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Sisk, Rev. Leon Brown and Rev. John T. Edwards officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.
