Billy G. Huntley, age 90 of Rutherfordton

Billy G. Huntley, age 90 of Rutherfordton, NC, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Billy was born December 21, 1934, in Lawrence County, TN and was a son of the late Claude and Lillie Artman Huntley. His career was in auto parts sales, and he started working for L. C. Cook Chevrolet in Forest City and eventually worked for Melton's Nissan in Rutherfordton where he retired.

Billy was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He was also a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Huntley, his sister, Delois Huntley and his great-grandson, Britt Huntley Hopper.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judy Splawn Huntley, his son, Christopher Duane Huntley of Rutherfordton, and his daughter, Jan Huntley Fraser and husband Dave of Ellenboro, four grandchildren, Carla Hooper, Christopher Duane Huntley, Jr., Emily Hopper, and Stephen Hargett as well as six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held March 1 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moneyham officiating.
