Billy Ray Hill, age 83 of Ellenboro

Billy Ray Hill, age 83 of Ellenboro died Monday, May 5, 2025.

Bill was born January 29, 1942, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Wigmore Ellis Hill and Della Conner Hill.

Bill was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and Isothermal Community College. He worked as a Supervisor for many years at General Fireproofing and later Torrington Corporation where he retired.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doyle Hill, Ralph Hill, and Jay Hill.

Survivors include his son, Barry Hill and wife Denise of Bostic, and his grandchildren, Rebecca Hill (Henno Robin) of Greer, South Carolina and Grant Hill (Baylee Elton) of Rutherfordton.

A service from the graveside will be held at 2pm Fri., May 9 at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. His body will lie instate 11am- 12:30pm Friday prior to the service.
