Blessing of the Animals Service held

Rev. Curtis Goforth, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Forest City, led a Blessing of the Animals Service on the lawn of the church Sunday afternoon. Several church and community folks brought their pets for the service. After scripture reading, prayers and songs, Goforth concluded the ceremony with this blessing, "May God, who created the animals of this earth, continue to protect and sustain us all, now and forever."
