Bob Sellers, age 85

Bob Sellers, age 85 of Forest City, passed away August 23, 2021.

Bob was born December 10, 1935 in Cleveland County to the late William Owen Sellers and Josephine McDaniel Sellers. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Caroleen Baptist Church and recently attended Adaville Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Martha Jean Sellers; son-in-law, Bill Thomassen; brother, Donald Sellers and sister, Jean Manley.

Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Rita Byers of Landrum, SC, Nita Roberts of Cowpens, SC and Tammy Thomassen of Forest City; sister, Syble Burton (Keith) of Belmont, 5 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 1pm September 10, 2021 at Adaville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Pate and Rev. Jeff Watts officiating. The body will lie in state from 6-9pm Thursday at the funeral home.

A private graveside service with military honors will be conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
