Bobby Blanton, age 86

Bobby Blanton, age 86, of Ellenboro, passed away April 9, 2022.

Bobby was born June 14, 1935 in Cleveland County to the late Carl Green Blanton and Docia Patterson Blanton. He served honorably in the US Navy and worked for PPG for over 30 years. Bobby was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, CG, Bill, Jack, Louis, Finley, and Don Blanton; sisters, Janie Harris, Elizabeth Brewer and Nellie Kimbrell, and a son Alvin Blanton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Blanche Williams Blanton; son, Dennis Blanton (Cindy); brother, Sam Blanton (Liz); seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held April 12 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner and Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Military honors were provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
