Bobby "Eagle" Jones, age 57

Bobby "Eagle" Jones, age 57, of Forest City, passed away at his residence.

Bobby was born February 10, 1965 in Rutherford County to the late Foy Lee Jones, Sr. and Margaret Epley Jones.

He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and was a truck driver most of his life. Bobby worked for Truck Services in Forest City 21 years and most recently for Tri-City Concrete. Bobby was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Shelly Metcalf Alley; daughter, Brandy Melton (Jason) of Union Mills; son, Will Jones (Kerra) of Belwood; siblings, Karen Queen (James), Junior Jones (Bobbie), Patricia McDaris (Tracy) all of Forest City, Allen Jones of Rutherfordton and Joy Anderson (John) of Mayo, SC; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held January 24 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Tester and Rev. Owen Duncan officiating.
