Bobby Gene McMahan, age 72

Bobby Gene McMahan, age 72, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

He was the son of the late Reverend J. I. McMahan and the late Sarah McKinney McMahan. Bobby served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 with service in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He was a graduate of RS Central High School Class of 1965 and attended Gardner Webb College from 1974 to 1977. He retired from Sonoco Crellin after 31 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years: Nancy Greene McMahan. One Daughter: Tara McMahan Millspaugh of San Francisco, CA. Three Sons: Mike McMahan and his wife Ricki of Rutherfordton, Todd McMahan of Forest City, Mark McMahan and Fiancé Holly Hartell of Cowpens, SC. Two Brothers: Keith McMahan of Greenville, SC. Scott McMahan and his wife Susan of Rutherfordton. Three Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild. Mother-in-law Octavia Callahan.

The Funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association; 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202.
