Bobby Ray Craig age 78 of the Green Hill Community

Bobby Ray Craig age 78 of the Green Hill Community died Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Born July 6, 1947, in Rutherford County, NC he was the son of the late Lewis Henry Craig and Edna Cleo Morgan Craig.

He was a 1965 graduate of R-S Central High School and worked for AGI for 47 years prior to his retirement. Bobby was a charter member of the Green Hill Fire Department and a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church having served as a Deacon, Usher and on numerous committees.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Guyanne Smith Craig in 2019, as well as two brothers, Billy Wayne Craig and Raymond Eugene Craig.

Surviving are three sons, Dwayne Craig, Justin Craig and David "DJ' Craig, all of Rutherfordton; three daughters, Wendy Burch (Lamar) of Rutherfordton, Lisa Craig (Justin Greene) of Gaffney, SC, and Amber Craig of Kings Mountain; one brother, Michael Dean Craig (Barbara) of Green Hill; three sisters, Frances Morrow (Jerry) of Shiloh, Carolyn Craig of Rutherfordton and Wanda Padgett (Roger) of Montford Cove; 10 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held March 9 at Green Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Brooks and Rev. Matthew Moore officiating.
