Boyd Bryan Lane age 86

Boyd Bryan Lane age 86 of Rutherfordton died December 4, 2021.

Born October 28, 1935, in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Okie Clayton Lane and Emma Jane Wells Lane. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, retired as the Safety Representative for the NC Industrial Commission and had also owned and operated Lane Motor Company. He was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mary Helen Pitman Lane; a son, Gregory Lane of Rutherfordton; daughter, Teresa Myers and husband, Steve Sturm of Charlotte; granddaughter, Amanda Hartley and husband, Blake of Jackson, Georgia.

Funeral services were held December 7, 2021, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Rohm officiating.
