Brenda Smith Peeler, age 78, of Cliffside

Brenda Smith Peeler, age 78, of Cliffside, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Brenda was born April 7, 1947 in Rutherford County to the late Porter Smith and Bertha Hudson Smith. She worked several years as a Deputy Sheriff for the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department. Brenda also proudly served as a DARE officer. She was a dedicated member of The Church and loved the Lord with all her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Peeler; son, Jody Peeler; sisters, Covie White and Betty Ramsey; brothers, Arthur Smith, Richard Smith and Charles Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Dana Best and husband, Darren of Cliffside; her grandchildren, Jirehnissi Best, Josh Best (Rebecca) and Destiny Best.

The funeral was held December 8 at the Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Darren Best and Rev. Gary Gatlin officiating.
