C. Kenton Weatherman, age 88

C. Kenton Weatherman, age 88, of Rutherfordton, died April 16, 2022.

He was the son of the late Curtis and Elva Light Weatherman. Kenton was a native of Burke County. He was also a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. Kenton retired from Broughton Hospital as a CNA. He was also a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Randall Weatherman; sisters Josephine Godwin and Janet Burleson and a brother Darrell Weatherman.

Survivors include daughters Jalyn Weatherman, Tracy Adams and husband Steve, sister Jean Moore, grandson Stephen Adams and wife Jonna, great-granddaughter Sarah Adams.

The funeral was held April 20 at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Jack Crain officiating.
