Carl T. Dobbins, age 92, of Rutherfordton, NC

Carl T. Dobbins, age 92, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025

A native of Rutherford County, Carl was the son of the late Henry C. Dobbins and the late Myrtle Grayson Dobbins, and Luvenia Summers Dobbins, who raised him. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys E. Dobbins, his brothers, Ernest Dobbins, Billy Dobbins, and Roger Dobbins, and his sister, Helen D. Phillips. Carl was a member of Adaville Baptist Church, and he worked at Master Craft for 26 years before he retired.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Mary Lane Campbell, his son, Mark Thomas Dobbins and wife Becky, and his granddaughter, Ariel Christina Ellane Campbell and husband Devin Radford.

The funeral service was held December 30 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Peter Surran officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association in honor of Carl; Western Carolina Chapter 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215.
