Carol Ann Dixon, age 76

Carol Ann Dixon, age 76, of Rutherford County, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior August 31, 2026.

Carol was born November 6, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Abraham and Doris Gould. She was a devoted Christian and member of Fork Creek Baptist Church for many years. Carol loved the Lord and found great joy in singing and leading Bible studies during her time at Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation, where she resided before her passing.

Left to cherish Carol's memory are her husband, Carmen Dixon; and her children, Suzanne Starnes (John), Tony Colon, Harry Fitzgerald (Syndi), Linda Dixon, Brian Long, and Beth Fitzgerald, her grandchildren, Melinda Starnes, Caitlin Starnes, Albert Stewart, Madison Stewart, Anthony Fitzgerald, Joseph Fitzgerald, Ashley Dixon, Matthew Dixon, Eugene Stafford, Sheila Stafford, Cathy Stafford, Emily McCurry; and 27 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Shelton, and her daughter, Carol Lynn Dixon.

A family-led memorial service will be held at Fork Creek Baptist Church at 10AM on Fri., Sept. 11, 2026.
