Carolyn Bumgardner Toms, age 70

Carolyn Bumgardner Toms, age 70, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Carolyn was born November 8, 1949 in Rutherford County to the late A.C. Bumgardner and Blanche Campbell Bumgardner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Bridges, Betty Conner and a brother, Bobby Bumgardner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life partner of forty years, James Earl Millard; two daughters, Sheila Toney (David) of Forest City and Tammy Carol Toms of Bostic; a son, Virgil Lee Toms, Jr. (Heather) of Forest City; two sisters, Brenda Toms of Rutherfordton and Donnis Toms (Larry Joe) of Forest City. She is also survived by three grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Interment followed at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
