Carrie Thelma Guffey Melton, 86, of Bostic, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Thelma was born March 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Plato and Linnie Guffey. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Melton Clark; and a granddaughter, Amy Melton Warlick; and her 10 siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, David Melton; her son, Gary Melton and wife Lisa; and her daughter, Sherrie Bailey and husband Michael, all of Bostic, four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service was held July 28 at First Baptist Bostic Cemetery. Thelma's grandchildren officiated.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Amy and her Warriors Foundation, 140 Woody Creek Rd., Bostic, NC 28018.
